On Monday, April 18, Republican candidate for Harford County Executive Billy Boniface met with restaurant operators in downtown Bel Air.
During the listening tour, Billy met with owners and managers at MaGerk’s Pub, Black Eyed Suzie’s, Sean Bolan’s Irish Pub and others. They discussed how their businesses are doing post-Covid, what challenges they see in the current economy, and how the county can assist in helping their businesses grow.
Over the course of the pandemic, Harford County directed 1,142 grants to restaurants totaling over $7.3 million and eased restrictions on outdoor dining and parking.
Billy also met with staff of the Bel Air Downtown Alliance to talk about their plans for First Fridays in Bel Air starting on May 6th.
“With runaway inflation, changing consumer habits, and potentially harmful policies coming out of D.C. and Annapolis, I think it’s important for businesses to know that their local government supports them and wants them to be successful,” Billy Boniface said.
“The needs of Harford’s existing small businesses are a priority to me, and I look forward to continuing to deliver for them as County Executive.”
